The recent farmers' protests in India against new farm laws saw the strategic use of digital media platforms, with activists both for and against it employing online tools, including alternative media sources, which added to the coverage by mainstream media outlets. This study aims to analyse the role of some of the key alternative media accounts on YoutTube during the movement cycle by conducting an analysis of videos uploaded by two different cohorts. Our parameters include location, popularity and recommendation networks that emerged across the pro- and anti- videos.
